Avery Dennison is Named China’s “Top 50 Best Employers” by Staffers Magazine

BEIJING, December 17, 2009 – Avery Dennison has earned a coveted spot on Staffers magazine’s "Top 50 Best Employers” list for 2009, confirming its status as an employer of choice for China’s most promising young professionals. The annual ranking recognizes companies that offer a positive team-focused work environment and caring employee culture, and provide opportunities to develop an exceptional career with an industry leader.

"Many senior executives say that people are their company's most important asset, but few are really serious about their human capital. At Avery Dennison, we don't just unilaterally set expectations for our staff, we constantly ask ourselves what our employees expect of us. We treat our people as we treat our valued customers, because they create the value on which our success is based. Our aim is to create and sustain an environment where employees are inspired, engaged, recognized and rewarded, and where everyone is able to take ownership and contribute to the development of the company in a proactive and passionate manner," said Gene Yang, General Manager of Retail Information Services, North China, Avery Dennison, at the Staffers award ceremony in Beijing.

“If you are a highly motivated and focused individual who is ready to join a supportive team and determined to take your career to new heights, we want to meet you. In turn, we pledge to support you and challenge you to be the very best you can be,” he continued.

The only workplace-focused magazine in China, Staffers has built a loyal readership of well-educated young professionals since its establishment in 2006.
